But even though we were spared from Beryl, that was only the start of the season. Gordon explained there was another tropical wave being monitored, however, it no longer poses a threat. Still, he predicted a wet weekend.

"We do maintain a small craft caution because winds may become gusty, especially the rain showers and thunder storms so persons who operate small vessels, mariners in small vessels, we advise them to be very cautious. We are open, it's all clear but certainly we need to take heed and to ensure that we take precaution from any hazards that are still out there. And of course in terms of the weather conditions, we continue some showers as I said before, there's another tropical wave coming behind Beryl that we were monitoring previously, that system no longer has a chance to become a tropical cyclone but certainly it will give some more rains over the weekend, we're not out of the rainy season so expect more rains and we will keep monitoring and updating."
