Butane Prices To Dip

If you've run out of butane, wait till Thursday to refill because after two consecutive increases in the retail price, the price is scheduled to dip.

Government announced today that as of Thursday March 4th the controlled price of butane will come down to $72 in Belize City, $74 in Belmopan, $71 in Orange Walk and Corozal, $69 in Dangriga, $75 in San Ignacio, and a high of $76 in Benque.

The price of butane increased twice since the start of the New Year and in both instances, it was by an average of $4 - this decrease is now for 5 dollars. Government blamed the prior increases on increased acquisition costs so its safe to assume there is now a decrease in acquisition costs.
