It caused months of contention between management and staff, but this evening, 7NEWS confirmed that BTL's Communication Workers Union has accepted management proposal for 5% wage increments over the next 5 years.

The union today sent management a letter confirming its acceptance. Both sides now move on to negotiate a benefits package on which the union has agreed to make some concessions in exchange for the increments.
