BTL Board Gets Two New Directors

Gaspar Aguilar and Karen Bevans, they are BTL senior executives who were made government appointed directors on the BTL board in February as a sign of government's intent to have Belizean control of BTL. Well, things didn't quite go as planned, and now that Ashcroft is back at the helm, Aguilar and Bevans have been dumped.

A board resolution singed by the Prime Minister and the Attorney General has been passed which replaces Aguilar and Bevans with President of the Senate Phillip Zuniga and former CEO Ediberto Tesecum. This we assume is in line with the wishes of the Ashcroft interest as representatives for three of his companies also signed the resolution.
