Police in southern Belize are tonight preparing to charge a 23-year-old man for doing the unthinkable - raping a 5-year-old girl. Details are hard to come by but the child's mother told police that yesterday her daughter visited some relatives and when she returned home she sensed something wasn't right. The mother took the child to a clinic where a doctor certified the child had been molested. The suspect detained tonight is a 23 year old from the Toledo District. Since he hasn't been charged police are not releasing his name or indicating his relation to the victim.
