Today Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord was to rule on whether the Joswant Brown the U.S. is seeking to extradite along with Andrew "Pawpa" Brown is the Floyd Brown in his courtroom. Well this morning, even though Solicitor General Elson Kaseke showed up to court with a new color copy of Joswant's driver license which more accurately resembles him, Chief Magistrate Lord did not rule. Instead Lord has reserved his judgement on the question of identity until when he decides if there is a prima facie case against the two brothers. The presentation of the U.S. government's case by Solicitor General Elson Kaseke was to begin this morning but Kaseke requested an adjournment until next Thursday.
The case resumes Thursday at 10 am and until then the brown brothers remain on remand at the Hattieville Prison. Andrew "Pawpa" Brown and his brother are wanted in the U.S. on a string of drug related charges including importation and distribution of cocaine in the United States.
