Belize Natural Energy Ltd. has shipped its first export of raw crude oil. 7NEWS has confirmed that on Saturday, a barge carrying 33,000, equivalent to 1,368,000 gallons left the Big Creek Port in Southern Belize headed for Texas. We can't say for sure what price has been negotiated, but the world price for a barrel of oil is presently US$67 per barrel.

We are informed that another barge with greater carrying capacity will arrive soon. While details on that are being ironed out, very preliminary talks have been held about constructing a pipeline from Big Creek to the site of the oil wells in Spanish Lookout.
