He used to be a public relations officer, and then a bus-transport crisis Mr. Fix-it, and now, Joe Coye's good man Friday, Glenn Tillet is in charge of the Belize Airport Authority. Tillet confirmed to us that he has been named acting interim manager of the authority. Tillet replaces Dr. Victor Gonzalez whose contract was not renewed. He says the minister is acting on a policy directive to strengthen the office. His appointment is a part of that, as is the re-tooling of the board. Tillet says he's taking a workmanlike approach to the new job and even though it is a new job, he told us that he will still be getting paid his old salary. Tillet says he expects to be in to post for two months initially. The Airport Authority is a statutory board separate from the private airport management service.
