The Police, Fire Service and BDF Tattoo will be held on Friday. Many years ago, it was a fixture on the celebrations schedule, but with the British pullout in 1994, it faded away. Since a re-introduction 2004, it's re-emerged as a fan favorite on the September schedule. And this year should be no different. Yesterday we visited the staging ground for the event, the Marion Jones Sporting Complex to got a preview.
"On the military part we will have displays basically of fighting drills for the military. These firing drills include mounted and dismounted drills. We will also have aerial displays which will involve both fixed and rotary wings. Security will be done basically by the experts so there is no need to worry about security. There will be maximum enjoyment for the entire family.
The police will involved with a joint riot drill with the BDF and the Police and the Fire Service will be having a fire rescue display.
It will be better than last year. We are always improving on the skills and so we expect that the crowd definitely will get their monies worth."
The Tattoo starts at 5:30 on Friday.
