Two families have an extra $66,000 to spend after hitting Saturday's $157,000 jackpot. The winning numbers are 5, 12, 15, 18, and 25. The winners who are both from out district areas traveled to Belize City picked up their checks this afternoon at Tropical Gaming's Office on Queen Street and we were there.
Keith Swift Reporting,
Josephine Mossiah says she was simply unable to contain her excitement when she found out that she had matched all five numbers in Saturday's $157,500 Lotto draw.

"I woke up after ten o'clock and I didn't hear anything play and as I jumped up in the bed, when I listened I heard the numbers being called. I ran out back because those numbers I got it and I jumped up and started to holler in the house and the children woke up and I said I got it baby, I got it."
She got it alright but she wasn't alone. Elodoro Guerra from San Ignacio also matched all five numbers. He had already thrown away his ticket when he realized he won.

"I put up the ticket for Wednesday and correct one I threw it in the garbage so when I found out about it I went and dig up in the garbage again and I found it so that is why I came to Belize City."
Guerra traveled from San Ignacio and Josephine and her daughters traveled from the village of Scotland Halfmoon to pickup their checks this afternoon at the Lotto office. Both already know what they'll spend their winnings on.
Elodoro Guerra,
"Well to keep my son, I still have a son who goes to UB and so I will pay wife's loan and my loan and take trip somewhere with the family."
Josephine Mossiah,
"I plan to make good use of it, good good use. Help who I can help who I know need help and who helped me in times of need."
After taxes of $11,812.50, both Guerra and Mossiah each took home $66,937.01. The jackpot for Wednesday's draw has rolled back to $50,000.
