A primary school teacher won a brand new 2007 Isuzu Dmax pickup truck from Courts Belize Limited today. And the best part about the story is that the truck was delivered as a surprise. The staff at Courts Belize Limited drove the new pickup to Holy Redeemer Primary School where Ordel Swift is a teacher and where she was attending a summer workshop for teachers. Swift says that one moment she was in class and the next she got the good news.
Ordel Swift, Winner
"I was coming across over to the tennis court here to do a group picture, I was told, only to be surprised to be told that I had won the 2007 Dmax."
Keith Swift,
Yeah Miss Huelett told me she had tricked you, so when you came and found out you had won, what was your reaction?
Ordel Swift,
"Well I was nervous. I was excited, happy, shocked; really shocked."
Keith Swift,
What did you buy from Courts to get tickets into the barrel?
Ordel Swift,
"Actually I purchased some stuff for my mom. I got her a refrig, a sofa set, and a stove. So that is how I got my tickets for the winning."
Keith Swift,
Did you think you would have won?
Ordel Swift,
"Well of course I said I was going to be the winner but I didn't even think it was going to be a reality."
The Dmax pickup is valued at $40,000. Courts has also insured the vehicle. Courts' new promotion is the stash of cash where every $50 spent will earn customers a chance to win $25,000 or one of six flat screen TVs.
