Today, Deputy Officer Commanding Eastern Division Chester Williams was on George Street. But he wasn't there to make wreck, instead he was making peace. Williams was teamed up with representatives from the Youth for the Future, and the Ombudsman's office. For an hour and a half, the team met with noted personalities Shelton "Pinky" Tillet and his brother Gerald "Shiny" Tillet and had open discussions.

From what we understand, it's a follow up to the meeting held two weeks ago at the Queen Street Police Station. At that time tensions were high between rival crews and there was a great deal of animosity directed at the police.

But a resolve was made to foster peace, and this effort was part of that. The peace-making team will be visiting other hotspots and hope to organize sporting activities between rival sets to defuse tensions.
