They say if at first you don’t succeed try again which is just what Edna Blanco did. The 35 year old housewife from San Estevan in Orange Walk bought a lotto ticket with the numbers 9, 13, 19, 23, and 33 last Wednesday. She didn’t win but wasn’t deterred and so she bought the same numbers on Saturday and she won the $50,000 jackpot. Along with her husband she picked up the check at Tropical Gaming’s Office this afternoon and she told us how she chose those winning numbers.

How did you choose the numbers?
Edna Blanco,
“I see the numbers and I tried my luck with that. I see the numbers on a chair. I was cleaning a chair and I see the numbers and I buy it. I buy it. I only buy LOTTO sometimes. I bought one ticket. I buy it on Wednesday first and it didn’t play. So I tried it on Saturday and that was the second time I buy it.”
After taxes, Edna Blanco took home $42,500.
