After days of complaining about how his Taxi License plate was revoked by City Hall - today Phillip Fawda Henry staged a protest in front of the traffic department.

It wasn't quite the million man march - but Fawda told the emdia - he's doing ti for the principle:...

Phillip "Fawda" Henry

"We notice that we start pretty early. You are saying that there are only two cars but there are taxi cars out here without taxi license plate. If you notice that cars are showing up one by one, we already have over ten people here but you don't know that. What I want to say is that this protest here is to make sure that all Belizeans are entitled to get a taxi license plate. It's not only about me, it's about Belizeans, Belizeans have to learn about standing up for themselves. I will be ok at the end of the day, even though they took away a plate from me. The demonstration would be a small one but the one coming from the City Hall will be very big. Guys from all over the taxi stands will show up there at City Hall for the next demonstration. We want our taxi license plate back, we are small business owners and we only have one car each."

Henry says he also intends to picket in front of City hall.
