And while Government can be strict on those tax laws - it has to hope owners of the super bond won't be too strict and demand full payment of the amount due this year.
Government has restructured the bond multiple times - but what will they do this time? We asked the Minister of state:
Jules Vasquez "Super bond sir, what type of haircut will you all be asking for or will you go full default and if you do what type of message does that send?"
Hon. Chris Coye - Minister of State, Ministry of Finance "I think with respect to the superbond, we've been clear that we will have those discussions. The debt that we currently have, that we've inherited not in away we've created, the debt that this administration has inherited is clearly unsustainable on the basis of our own analysis and the analysis of our own advisors but also on the basis of the analysis of the IMF themselves. Something has to be done about that."
