And so how are the police going to contain escalation or continued retaliations? The Compol told us how police plan to contain violence in both neighbourhoods:
Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police "I am sure that you all are aware that that area used to be one clique and we have seen now that there is a split between the group in that area and now we have two cliques and apparently they are having a feud amongst themselves. The way how the Banak area is situated, the demographics of it is one that would make it difficult for police to police that area that matter, nonetheless since yesterday we have stepped up our patrols in the area, we have stepped up operations, going after those persons who we believe are involved. There are other things that we are doing to see how we can mitigate the situation and again a very important part of what we will be doing is to look at the gang legislation and see what charges can be levied upon those persons who we know are involved in gang activities in that particular area. And the same can also be said about the Iguana two affected areas at this time."
