They're the images that had jaws dropping all over Belize this morning, and in what looks like the worst kind of price gouging, that's because someone somewhere seemingly found two cans of Grace corned beef priced at $7.25 and $8.50.
It's the kind of price hike that would turn even Finnegan's famous "stretch" curry corned beef into food for the elite.
And while the standard price of these products should be $4.25 and $5.75 respectively, depending on where you shop, that might no longer be the case.
But has the price of corned beef really been hiked that high? We went out to Central American Boulevard to investigate.
Right now Grace corn beef costs 6.75 at Zan Zan Store, it costs $6.69 at 88 store, and it's at an all-time high at One Plus supermarket where it comes in at a whopping $6.99.
But still looking for those $7 and $8 dollar price hikes we headed all the way up to Ladyville. Variations in the price there were between $6.50 and $6.95 but as far as we know don't go any higher.
