So, if the narco cargo was 500 kilos, which is about 1,100 pounds - what is the Belizean street value of that? Well, police rarely discuss those figures. And the US number is about $35,000 US dollars per kilo. And in Belize? Well according to attorney Dickie Bradley that question came up at the bail hearing for the Bladen 11 on Tuesday and he shared his street intel on the current value - he says excess supply has been driving down prices:

Dickie Bradley - Attorney-At-Law
"Her ladyship asked what is the rough estimate of the value of the cocaine that they are accused of being involved with, and I said to her, actually the words they tumbled out of my mouth, I said to her that my cartel contacts said to me that it used to be about 26,000 dollars for a kilo for a brick, a white snapper. It has now because of the saturation in the market a one-kilogram brick is being sold for 16,000 out here in the streets. If one other plane should come between now and Christmas or more cargo falls out or somehow drop out of somebody's vehicle, because remember there was a plane that supposedly went into the sea. Well, all that cocaine is all over the place Belize sold at 16,000 for a white snapper and that price is going down because we don't have a big market for cocaine and you have a lot of cocaine around the place, people want money, you know, Christmas di come so it's being sold pretty cheap, and so the judge did ask what are we talking about in terms of a money value and its just a rough estimate."
