The Minister of Health went to parliament to create two new senior posts for a Director of Public Health and Wellness and a Director of Hospital Services and Allied Health.
And while the posts have been created, filling them is another matter completely. And the process of doing that has started with the new posts now being advertised today on the Ministry's Facebook page, along with one more post, Director of International Health Cooperation. These 3 posts are to replace the single one for Director of Health Services - and they are all at pay scale 25 - which means more public expenditure.
The ads went public today - even though it is standard procedure for the vacancies to be advertised internally within the ministry first.
So will the current DHS, Dr Marvin Manzanero apply? Well, according to the Minister - his post is now redundant. But Manzanero has told the Reporter that he has gotten no communication on this either verbally, electronically, or in writing.
