New COVID Cases Down

Tonight there are only 93 new COVID cases to report tonight, but before you let out that sigh of relief at the two-digit number, the Ministry of Health noted that they were having technical difficulties so today's data only includes rapid tests, tests performed at private facilities and PCR test results entered yesterday after the 1:00 p.m. cut off time.

The bulk of those cases came from the Stann Creek District, which reported 27.

There is also one new unvaccinated death today, a male from the Belize District. 22 out of the 32 hospitalizations are also unvaxxed, as well as three out of the seven ICU admissions.

Active cases are at 1,162 and the death toll is at 570.
