Last week, we told you how the Public Utilities Commission was recommending that the electricity rates you pay be increased from 39.99 cents per kilowatt-hour to 41.58 cents per kilowatt-hour for the next 6 months.

Well, they want your input on this proposed increase. Tomorrow was supposed to be the deadline for the general public to submit their comments on whether or not they support the rate increase. But, in a press release sent today, the PUC announced that the deadline has been extended to the end of the month, January 31st. Michel Chebat, the Newly-appointed Minister of Public Utilities and Logistics approved it.

PUC Chairman Dean Molina said that the Commission appreciates the impact and the importance of this decision. So, they want to hear from as many electricity consumers as possible.
