Members of Saint Francis Xavier Credit Union are set to protest tomorrow March 24th from 9:00 in the morning until noon.
That protest is a response to the Central Banks' action two weeks ago to take control of Saint Francis Xavier Credit Union by installing an administrator.
A press release yesterday from the Belize Credit Union league is not exactly a ringing endorsement of the Credit Union's management.
It says, quote: " The Central Bank presented (the Credit Union League) with a report containing accusations of serious transgressions which, if true, neither (the Credit Union League) nor its member credit unions can condone." end quote.
Still, the BCUL says that in its capacity to quote: "assist credit unions in improving the financial lives of their members.' it will quote: "continue to support any efforts it believes is in the best interest of its members." End quote.
