In lighter news, have you ever forgotten to pay one of your bills, had that service "cut out," and then had to go through the bothersome process of reconnecting? Wouldn't it be easier if all your bills were bundled together so you just had to make one payment?

Well, now, with a new service called DigiONE, BTL is offering to bundle all consumers' communication and home entertainment devices together so you don't have to worry about multiple bills. Digi launched this new product today, which combines four of the services they offer into one deal.

Courtney Menzies was at the ceremony today and has this story.

Imagine how much simpler paying bills would be if you could just do one transaction, rather than a bunch of pesky payments.

Well, that's exactly what Digi is offering customers - so, instead of remembering to pay for your internet, data, and home phone, now you can bundle it all together - along with your television service - and pay one cost.

This new product is called Digione, and according to the CEO, Digi is the only telecom provider giving you four ways to keep in touch and connected:

Ivan Tesucum, CEO, Digi

"Digione is the launch of our quad-play services and what that means is that, as our National Telecom, Digi, we are the only integrated digital service telecom provider, we're providing all four services on one digital platform. What are those four services? Those four services are mobile, which we call Digicell, your home internet, which is called Diginet, your home phone which is called Digitell, and now Digi TV. So really we are providing four services and in the telecom space it's called quad-play and so we made history today because we're the only telecom provider that can offer a quad-play bundle."

And their goal is not just to make your life simpler, but to offer a valuable package that can help save you some precious pennies.

Ivan Tesucum, CEO, Digi
"One of the natural evolutions that we have in the telecom space is the fact that entertainment is something that is very valuable. Our lifestyles require that we also have some fun and so TV which is a natural element of what we have is also coming over our fibre to the home network, which is Diginet, so that is why we bundled everything together. It also allows for the ease and access for you to, as we mentioned, to be able to not only cater to your lifestyle but also to be able to have any bundle that you have, get savings, and also value overall so putting things together and like anything, right, the more you buy of a product, or the more you buy of some stuff, then the better prices you get, the same thing happens with the Digione bundles whereby you're also going to get more for better value and less cost."

So while you already have your data, internet, and home phone, now you can also ditch the Dibo box and switch over to Digi TV.

Ivan Tesucum, CEO, Digi
"With the fact that you're able to watch over an app so you can get it on your TV, you download the app, Digi TV, it can be on the Amazon fire stick, you can do it on the Roku, you can do it on the Android TV platform so whichever platform you have, you can just go, download it, put in your username, your password and you're able to stream TV, right from the remote control so you don't need any other apparatus apart from the Diginet to your home and put that over, you get the stream on TV over that."

"The platform that you have is also state of the art that allows you to have certain services that you normally don't have on other services for example, like I said, it's almost like TV on demand, I'm not at home and I can go back and watch something that was last week or something that was yesterday that I missed but I now have the time to watch, so these things make it easier for you to watch TV, so it doesn't have to be with the normal live TV, but now I can go back and watch TV on demand so to speak."

But if your main method of keeping up with your shows is Netflix, Hulu, or HBO Max, then you might think the days of television are almost over.

But according to Tesucum, that demand is still there.

Courtney Menzies:
"We know most people, yes they have the Digi wifi and they have the data but a lot of people they don't have home phones and a lot of people, they don't use a lot of TV, they watch Netflix, so what makes you believe in the success of it?"

Ivan Tesucum, CEO, Digi
"Well, one of the things you will appreciate is that we still have to watch local news, think about it, Channel 5, Channel 7, so that is what is also in the package, but we also watch a lot of American TV and while we heard about this thing that you will not be watching TV, that hasn't happened so we continue to have a strong product and we believe the value that you provide will also take it up and so from there we believe that it is a very valuable product because the price that you pay when you bundle it is cheaper so at the end of the day when you're comparing prices, we know that customers shop for value and we believe that we will offer the best value at the best quality, most reliable and the best service in Belize."

And the prices for the bundles range from $79 for the starter one package to over $200 for the elite one package.

And if customers are interested in a DigiONE bundle, they can either visit a Digi office with their ID, or apply via WhatsApp or online.
