RCC BPO in Dangriga is expanding its operations in the south, to provide more job opportunities for town residents. They plan to double the number of employees and in doing so they will need more space.
As part of a busy afternoon and evening in the south, the Prime Minister and Area representatives met with the RCC BPO team on Friday to further discuss their plans for expansion in Dangriga. Here are the highlights from the event.

Marcos Vasquez, Director, RCC BPO
"Today we gather to celebrate the exciting progress in Dangriga such a beautiful town and the RCC BPO team is truly honored to be apart of this vibrant community we are thrilled to contribute to the growth and prosperity of beautiful Dangriga. The RCC BPO team has been working hard to make Dangriga a destination for our clients thanks to the hard working of our dedicated team and the support from our ministry Zabaneh and his team RCC BPO is expanding on Dangriga with plans to higher over 200 people in the upcoming months. It's not been an easy process to be the first to set up operations here and we have work to do but we are confident in our team and the support we get from minister Zabaneh and his team as well."
John Briceno, Prime Minister

"If you have 190 persons or to with bonuses and everything you're easily looking at over 3 million dollars having been pumped into Dangrigas economy. That has a significant impact on a town like Dangriga especially in a town that has been seeing many challenges with work with employment or with meaningful employment that would pay its employees well so I want to commend Nubia and her team and you Marcus the RCC family for making that bold and tough decision to say okay let's try out Dangriga people look at Belize city and Belmopan and San Ignacio and even Orange walk to a smaller scale but nobody thought about Dangriga."
Hon. Dr. Louis Zabaneh, Area Representative, Dangriga
"So the target is 500 employees in the next few months so certainly for the people of Dangriga and I would like to speak also for my friend Hon Rodewell that in the Stann Creek West area as well we have a number of those persons coming and working here so the people of Dangriga are very pleased that now we are seeing the

larger single expansion in employment in our area in history and this really impactful to us. Present with us we have of course senator John is here with us and mayor Mariano I think I can speak for them very confidently that we are all very grateful it's never been that case that young people who are graduating from high school or sixth form can say that if they want a job they can get a job immediately that has never been the case in our history that we can remember and that is something so empowering."
