Insurance Organization Celebrates 40 Years

The old saying tells us that "nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes."

Well, you might want to add insurance to that- even if it is with an asterisk. Once you own a vehicle, you have to purchase it.

It's a good deal for insurance companies and they have done well in Belize. And that may be part of the reason why they have such a strong and enduring membership group.

It's called ORINCO, an organization made up of some of Belize's biggest insurance companies. They celebrated 4 decades in existence today. And here's what we learned at their press conference this morning. Jomarie Lanza reports.
