The various lawsuits involving the Feinstein Group of companies, the Atlantic Bank and the OPSA group from Honduras will likely be working their way through the courts for months, maybe years. As we have reported, Feinstein has assembled a dream team of British barristers to argue their various suits, countersuits and appeals as they try to get back the Stake Bank island. And - in a best of both worlds scenario - those British attorneys were backed up locally by Feinstein's original law firm, the Marine Parade Chambers.
Well, in a somewhat surprising turn, Feinstein has now dropped Marine Parade and hired attorney Bryan Neal to be their local counterpart.
As we understand it, the primary consideration is cost - since the British lawyers are known to cost a pretty penny and a local attorney is needed mainly to manage court filings.
