The SIB is reporting that Belize's economy grew 6.1% in the third quarter of 2025. They have identified improved performances across all sectors, with the primary sector up by over 20% due to livestock and marine outputs.
At their press conference today, they explained more.

"For the 3rd quarter of 2025 which is from July to September, good and services produced in this quarter totaled 1.221 billion dollars, this is an increase of 70.2 million of 6.1% when we compare it to the third quarter of 2024. And within the GDP for that 1.221 billion, we have 91.7 million in the primary sector, 178.1 million dollars in the secondary sector, 776.3 million dollars in the tertiary, and lastly 175.2 million dollars in taxes."
"Speaking of the 6.1% growth that we observed for the third quarter, the top contributors to this growth were taxes, we have agriculture forestry and fishing, wholesale and retail trade and construction, the ones highlighted in green. The industry that had the largest negative effect towards this 6.1% was the other services activities."
