Today, BTL's executive leadership continued its frenzied week-long schedule of meetings to try and build public and corporate consensus behind the acquisition of Speednet. A board meeting was held this morning and in the afternoon the format shifted to a town hall style meeting for the company's 500 or so employees. That was not open to the press - but tonight we can report that plans are to push ahead at the board level and gain at least a provisional approval for the acquisition by early next week. This will likely require the support of 33% shareholder, Social Security and its 3 directors. They have been consistently cautious and less than enthusiastic about the acquisition.
