And it was the merchants who import fruits and vegetables that were most concerned about their perishable goods rotting on the Mexican side of the border. Well, if any of that produce spoils, will consumers end up bearing the cost? The PM said he hopes not.

"We understand that there have been losses, we understand vegetables, that would be the main perishable thing I think so those losses mean we will have increase in prices for us too as consumers?"

"I hope not."

"What about losses in revenue in terms of fees charged and so or is it just delayed because they're still going to come across at some point?"
John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Well they'll still come across and when they come across we'll be able to charge duties and taxes so we'll be able to get it back but it still puts a dent, the money comes in but it comes in later ad government needs the money now."
