And that 50 cents for short stops is one of the major points of contention. It may not sound like much, but the Ladyville run in particular is a major sticking point. Adding 50 cents to the cost would bring it to $3.00 for a 10-mile run. That rate of 30 cents per mile is much higher - almost double the price of average runs.
