An accident victim is in critical condition at the KHMH - and the Biscayne villager who knocked him down today appeared in Magistrate's court to answer to 5 charges. Twenty-two year old Richard Dominguez pleaded not guilty to 2 counts of negligent grievous harm, driving whilst unfit to drive through drink, failing to keep as close as possible to the right hand side of the road and driving without due care and attention. The charges arose after it is alleged that Dominguez knocked down two persons on Friday while he was driving a Mitsubishi Montero on the Northern Highway. The police prosecutor objected to bail pointing out that one of those injured in the accident is listed in critical condition at the KHMH. Magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie pointed out that she could hardly with-hold bail when the police themselves had already granted Dominguez what's known as station bail this weekend. So, she today upheld the bail already given. It amounted to 2 thousand dollars, which Dominguez met and his case was adjourned until September 16th. The charges could be upgraded if the condition of the accident victim worsens.
