Two weeks after the outrageous kidnapping of the San Ignacio mayor and the shocking shooting of Police Constable Kevin Jacobs in his face, police investigators have pieced together their case and made four arrests.

Guatemalans 19-year-old Omar Elias Azanon and 34-year-old Manuel Perez, and Honduran 33-year-old Hilberto Lopez Ceron were all separately arrested and have now been jointly charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. The suspected ringleader is 36-year-old Perfidio Delcid who was wounded in a shoot-out with police. He ended up in the Belmopan hospital and has also been charged.

Police are still seeking one suspect and have not yet charged anyone for the shooting for the shooting of PC Jacobs. Jacobs is still in a Merida hospital while all four accused are remanded behind bars at the Hattieville prison until their next court date on April 6th.
