Possible charges are still pending in that case but the survivor of a motorcycle accident two weeks ago in Orange Walk is now well enough to be charged for jumping on his cycle drunk and killing his 16 year old friend in the process.
20-year-old David Penner is facing charges of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention, and driving with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit.
Penner was riding his friend Abram Braun on the back of his motorcycle when the bike flipped. 16-year-old Braun who was wearing no helmet died on the spot while Penner who had on a helmet was hospitalized.
He was charged after his release from the hospital.
