Yesterday we reported on the allegation against two young men who allegedly went to the home of a rape victim to threaten her and her family.
Today 21 year old Denton Alexis Requena and Mark Anthony Paulino appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie to answer to charges of attempted suppression of evidence in a criminal trial as well as 5 counts of threat of death.
Prosecutors are saying that the men went to her home in Belize City to persuade the 20-year-old female to drop the case against the police constable. Further to this, the men allegedly threatened members of the young woman's family.
They were bailed for $2,000 and were ordered not to go near the complainants and to report to the clerk of courts every Monday. The matter was adjourned to May 21.
