In the heart of downtown Belize City and in the middle of a workday, two men managed to hold up and successfully pull off the robbery of a store on Albert Street.
Larissa Briceno told police that around 1:30 yesterday, Monday, two men with rags over their face entered "gems" used clothing store. Briceno says one of the men pointed a handgun at her demanding money. She emptied $375 from the cash pan, which she handed over to the bandits. That wasn't enough and they then robbed a customer of a purse with $150 in cash and 150 pesos and $3,000 worth of jewelry.
No suspects have been detained.
