Accused drug traffickers Robert Hertular and his brother Hadrian have lost another round in their legal battle, this one in the court of last resort.

Today their request was refused at the Privy Council in London. Their contention was that Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord had improperly held a trial within a trial, during their drug trafficking case.

Both Chief Justice Dr. Abdulai Conteh and the Court of Appeals had agreed with Magistrate Lord's decision and today the Privy Council's Judicial Committee also agreed. The appeal was dismissed and the Privy Council refused them leave to appeal to the Privy Council.

For Robert Hertular this now means his extradition trial will resume next week. He is wanted in the United States for drug trafficking.

Government was represented in the UK by Solicitor General Elson Kaseke.
