They claimed it was an armed robbery and had the injuries to prove it, but police say otherwise, and this evening three young men appeared before a Magistrate charged for lying to investigators.
Last night we reported (Three injured after city shooting)_that the alleged victims told police that Wednesday night they were at a house on eve street when an unknown armed assailant shot at them. Police responded and caught up with the gunman later identified as 19-year-old Eber Lopez who was found in possession of a.22 Ruger brand pistol with 2 live rounds.
This evening he appeared in court alongside his friends 21-year-old Allan Orellano and 20 year old Jose Perez to answer to a charge of committing a mischievous act. All three were released on $800 bail and are to reappear in court on August 31st. Lopez has been separately charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition for the gun found on him.
As for shooting well it was a dispute between friends who were fighting over possession of the gun.
