Last week a group of 17 Anglicans from the USA came to Belize to oversee a weeklong summer program for children attending St. John's Primary and All Saints schools. Head of the delegation Reverend Don McNichol says the visit is about building ties in faith and education.
Rev. Don McNichol,
"We're doing a vacation bible school for one week. The theme that the children have is 'light: the light of God shining in the world' and so for five days my people from my church and your people from the Anglican Church have teamed together and we are having a really good time with the children at two of the schools here in Belize City."
In the future, exchange programs will be held between the two churches.
