He claims he was pistol-whipped by a police officer who broke his nose landing him in the hospital and out of work.

That is the story of construction worker and father of five Alvin Stanford who showed up at our studios with his nose and for that matter half of his face still in a cast. The 29-year-old says his story is that around 2:30 on Monday morning he was at Bismarck Club at closing time when police officers entered the bar and started to target one of his family members. Stanford says he went to the boy's defense. That's when words were thrown back and forth after which one of the officers pulled out his 9-milimeter gun and struck across the nose.

Alvin Stanford, Pistol Whipped by Police
“I was leaving and he tore off my shirt and I told him he didn’t need to do that. I continued walking and then the officer came behind me and knocked me in my face with the gun and I fell face down on the ground. After that the police they took me to the station and a female police officer asked them to take me to the hospital because I could die.”

“The bone (nose) was fractured inside broken on the top. I just want them to try help me out because I got a family to care of. I got a family of five, including a set of twins, and I don’t want it to go just like that because they harassed me for nothing I didn’t do anything out of the way. I have witnesses who saw what happened. I just want justice.”

Stanford spent two days in hospital. And to literally add insult to his injury, Stanford was charged with aggravated assault and is now out on bail. He said he has filed a complaint with the Ombudsman and Police Internal Affairs.
