Hit and Run

Police are tonight on the lookout for a vehicle and its driver who is believed to have knocked and killed a teenager in the Stann Creek district. At around 6:30 this morning police in Independence village responded to reports of a body lying on the side of the Southern Highway near the Swasey bridge. Upon visiting the area police found 15 year old Alex Chuc with severe head injuries. Police believe that the young man may have been lying down in the area when a vehicle ran him over.
