New Bypass Opens

The orange walk town bypass is just about finished and it will be opened to traffic next Monday. The $22.7 million dollar project covers a 5 mile stretch of road running parallel to the Northern Highway between miles 52 and 57. It was designed to alleviate traffic congestion, road deterioration and make travel through orange walk town safer, particularly for heavily burdened cane trucks and other commercial transport and articulated vehicles.
