They shot him, and now police are making sure that Renato Logan does not talk to the media. The 25 year old Logan, who is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg was under close police guard at the KHMH today, so close that the media was ordered to stay away. What threat does the independence resident pose? Well on Saturday night, police say he threatened to maim them with a machete. A patrol team cruising Independence say that he and another man were "acting suspiciously" and ran off when they saw the police car. Police caught up with Logan, but he pulled out a machete and chopped constable Alejandro Coc on the right hand. That's when police say they ordered him to drop the machete, but he allegedly chopped Coc again, and that's when they shot him in the left leg. Logan's family refutes the official story claiming that they shot Logan in the back of his leg as he ran away.
