Predictions for hurricane development are being readjusted to reflect this year's activity. Doctor William Gray of Colorado State University has released his latest projections and they say that this month will be more active that previously forecasted. Gray says tat October will be a stormy month with three storms and two hurricanes predicted to develop. This means that 20 days in the month of October will see some storm or the other. Gray says that there is a 33 percent chance of a storm making landfall and 17 percent chance that a hurricane will make landfall.

This unusually active October will bring this year's hurricane season to an abrupt end in November when there is no hurricane or storm forecasted. The official end of the hurrincane season is November 30th.
