He was shot up on August 9th of last year and today when he had the chance to get justice for himself, he opted not to. Austin Stevens today took the stand at the supreme court to testify against 19 year old Maurice Felix who had been accused of shooting him. But instead of testifying Stevens told the court that he had no interest in pursuing the matter. Trial judge, Justice Troadio Gonzalez asked Stevens what his position was with respect to the case. Steven's response was that he did not want to go any further.
The judge then pointed out that a lot of resources and expenses has been put out for the trial and that the police may not want to assist him at a later time when he is in need. With that the prosecution entered a "nolle pros" submission and Felix was off that wrap. Felix will remain in jail because he still has to face a charge of murder for the death of Michael Skeet that occurred on April 20 of this year as well as the attempted murder of David Wade.
