When 19 year old Andrew Castro died mysteriously at sea in April of this year, it was a tragedy for his family who lost a son, and the father of an infant child. And while nothing can ever make up for the loss of a loved one life, family members are tonight thankful that the tragedy at least led them into some good luck. Andrew's father, Castronard Castro won Saturday's lotto jackpot of 82,500 dollars and he told us that using his deceased son's birth date, and age, led him to the win:

"When I lost my son that was it too you know but that was how I got some of the numbers. Because he died the 11th then the 19th was his birthday then he would have been 20 so I got those numbers then I took my daughter's age. When he died he left a little son two years old so I bought that too so all the numbers just come like that."

"So it's like your son sent you the luck?"

"Well probably it could be."

"Do you have any plans for the money?"
Castronard Castro
"Well I have my house that I was building a while ago 30 X 40 and so I will finish up with that you know. So in a way the money came in handy to finish my house.

"I know you live in the Lake View street are of Belize. Now when you go back to Lake View street with 82 thousand minus 15 percent, minus 12 thousand in your pocket I know everybody will want to have a party. Everybody will want a piece of this 82-5 how will you handle these brand new friends?"

"Well I will just offer them a little beer and they'll appreciate it you know."
