Traffic Victim Dies After Refusing Treatment

An accident victim who refused medical treatment died just hours after leaving the Corozal Town Hospital.

On Friday afternoon 47-year-old, Estelito Catch was crossing the intersection of 7th avenue and San Andres Road in Corozal town when he was knocked down by a car driven by Alfred Davis. Davis said it was an accident and Catch was taken to the hospital. But once there he refused medical treatment and was instead released into the care of his daughter Sol Angel Catch. Later that night Catch was brought back to the hospital and died at 1:30 on Saturday morning.

Corozal police are investigating but as yet there is no word if the cab driver will face any charges.
