The man who police yesterday had a violent exchange of gunfire with in a school yard, putting hundreds of school children at risk, is sitting in a jail cell tonight.
31-year-old Lincoln Robinson was well enough to go to court this morning where he was charged with making a threat of death, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm in public, and keeping ammunition without a gun license. Thursday morning police were patrolling near the Queen Square Anglican School when they spotted Robinson on a bike. Court papers say an officer began to search Robinson and when he felt a gun, Robinson scaled the fence and made a run for it. The cop allegedly fell and that's when he claims Robinson pulled a 9-millimeter pistol on him and threatened his life. Gunshots were then exchanged ending with Robinson getting shot in his left leg.
Because a firearm was involved, bail wasn't even an option for Robinson who lives in Cayo and was visiting his family. His case was adjourned until November 22nd.
