In November of last year, it made headlines when three men were caught allegedly as they prepared to rob a woman of money from her workplace, Western Union. It was news because at the time one of the alleged would-be robbers was the woman's husband.
Since that occurred on November 21 of last year there have been some developments in the case as it went to court. The first came on September 9th when the woman appeared in court to ask Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord to drop the charges against her husband George Santiago. That was refused back then. Today however there was no need for begging as the DPP sent a memo to the court withdrawing a charge of preparation to commit robbery against the alleged criminals.
While there were originally three men including Darrel Myvett, Kendale Robinson and Santiago Robinson has since been killed. The two remaining defendants Darrel Myvett and George Santiago, who is the husband, now only have to face charges of kept unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The case is scheduled to proceed on the 11th of November of this year.
