The murder of security guard Antonio Almendarez was a flashpoint on San Pedro and tonight that outraged community should have some satisfaction as a total of four men have been charged for the murder. Two were charged on Tuesday and today two more young men were arraigned in Belize City Magistrate's Court.

20-year-old Shandoy Jeffords of a Belize City address and 18-year-old Austin Mungia of Boca Del Rio in San Pedro have been charged with the crimes of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. Jeffords and Mungia join the other two accused: 22-year-old Luis Lalin and 18 year old Elvis Williams on remand at the Hattieville Prison.

Police believe that the four originally only intended to burglarize Fido's Recreation Center in downtown San Pedro, but ended up killing Almendarez.
