Suspect Held in Meat Pie Vendor Attack

Police tonight have one man detained for yesterday's attempted robbery and shooting of meat pie vendor Efrain Perdomo Erazo. Police expect to bring charges against the man who is one of three who accosted Erazo and another meat pie vendor at the corner of Dolphin and Boccotora Streets shortly after 9 am yesterday. Erazo put up a fight and that is when police say one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him. Two shots were heard and one of the bullets caught Erazo in his face. Despite the bullet to the face doctors say Erazo's prognosis for recovery is good.
